Vegetables
See our list of vegetables. We'll have these through out our season at the markets listed on our contact page, directly from the farm, and from our CSA.
Egg Cartons
Egg cartons are so expensive to buy in small quantities. Check online and you'll see prices of around $0.40 per carton with shipping charges. Come buy them from me for $.20 per carton, or we'll arrange a drop off if I happen to be out your way.
Chickens
We raise Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, and Silver Laced Wyandottes .
Hens
We usually have lots of hens for sale, but we're sold down to the number we need for egg customers. We have started a new flock this year and will be selling pullets as we go. In September we will be using some of our older hens in the Chicken Dinner Workshop. Check back in Spring 2011 for some laying hens for your back yard flock.
Roosters
None at the moment.
Ducks
Mixed Sex White Pekin Ducks
On June 13 these ducks will be 10 weeks old. They have been raised free-range just like our chickens. We've sold some to stock ponds, and plan to process some for our table. We're selling these for $12 each at this age and would be happy to connect you with the duck of your choice.
Ungraded Brown Eggs from Pasture Raised Chickens
Eggs are $3.50 a dozen in Louisville, and $3 in Taylorsville. You'll get all sizes including the occasional, super-jumbo double-yolkers. You can pick up from the farm directly, Country Mart in Taylorsville, from the Indian Hills part of Louisville, or at the farmers' markets on our contact page. Get in touch for directions to those locations.
